The team at Lindisfarne Productions was excited to partner up with the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation to create a thank you video for Walmart Western Canada.
Since 1998, Walmart stores across Northern Alberta have raised more than $10 million for the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. The team at the Stollery wanted a way to celebrate this generous contribution. The goal of this video was to allow Stollery patients and their families to thank Walmart employees in real time.
Production took place in the midst of COVID-19 restrictions. In order to work within continued pandemic restrictions, our crew operated in two separate locations:one for employees and one for Stollery participants. Using video chat, Walmart employees received a surprise video call from Stollery kids and their families.
To bring the project to life, we used video chat applications, 4k video, and hidden cameras to capture the special moment. It was tricky to navigate the technical requirements for the project, but our team is always up for the challenge!
It was so incredibly heart-warming for our team to be a part of this project. As always, we were honoured to hear patient stories first-hand. It was also rewarding to help celebrate the hard work and care of Walmart employees, and allow them to hear the difference their work has made first-hand. Seeing the surprise and joy on their faces with fantastic.
Our team is incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to work with the Stollery. We love highlighting the incredible work they do. It was also amazing to learn about and celebrate the contributions of Walmart and their staff. A little good goes a long way.
