Lindisfarne’s video production office was transformed into an entertainment zone for several unstoppable, well-dressed 4-10 year olds. Why did we have several children running around in suits and shoulder pads, you ask?… Isn’t it obvious?… To produce a creative video to help the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta (ICAA) explain unification of course!
This year the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta faced the important decision to unite Alberta’s Chartered Accountants (CAs) with Certified Management Accountants (CMAs) and Certified General Accountants (CGAs): all under one designation – Chartered Professional Accountants (CPAs).
This creative video helped provide detailed information regarding what unification would mean for Alberta’s accountants and the profession in its entirety. Using incredibly talented child actors (with terrific memories!) Lindisfarne broke down the unification process and presented it in an understandable, practical, entertaining way. And who doesn’t like kids pretending to be adults… right?
On July 1 2015, the Chartered Professional Accountants Act was proclaimed, creating the CPA designation in Alberta and the CPA Alberta body. That is now the sole professional organization for designated accountants in Alberta.
