In March, we grabbed our gear and runners and joined hundreds of Edmontonians for the 3rd annual Bust a Move event at the Northlands EXPO Centre where our Lindisfarne Video Productions team had the opportunity to create the event and sponsor videos!
Bust a Move for Breast Health is a six-hour fitness extravaganza that raises donations for breast cancer research at the Cross Cancer Institute. Participants at the event can expect an array of activity: from yoga to zumba to boot camp and everything in between! And there are bonus free massage tables! (Very important for some of us more “rusty” participants).
Each portion of the event programming is sponsored by a different generous Edmonton organizations. Lindisfarne was honoured to work with each of these sponsors to create sponsor videos that would play before each segment. Our team also captured video on-site! At the end of the day, all of the footage was compiled to create a full event thank you video to share with the participants!
BAM was originally founded in Halifax in 2010 to raise funds for Breast Cancer Research. To date, the Edmonton branch of Bust a Move has raised over $1 million dollars for the Cross Cancer Institute!
This years funds are going towards clinical trials at the Cross Cancer Institute.
“Clinical trials bridge the gap between those eureka moments in the lab and treatment for patients facing cancer.” Says Dr. John Mackey, The Director of Clinical Trials at the Cross, “Supporting this research means Albertans have access to promising new advances as quickly as possible.”
Yes, six hours of fitness sounded like a daunting task, but our team discovered that you don’t have to be a master yogi or GI Joe/Jane to have an absolute blast!
