On August 8th, the Cross Cancer Institute (CCI) celebrated the 25th anniversary of its Golf Classic and Lindisfarne Productions had the honour of creating its anniversary video!

Over the past 25 years, the annual CCI Golf Classic has raised more than $9 million in support of the Alberta Cancer Foundation, leading to more funding for important cancer research, treatment, and patient care programs at the Cross Cancer Institute. The CCI Golf Classic continues to be the most influential and well-supported fundraiser that the Cross Cancer hosts.
Our Edmonton based video production team interviewed committee members and past founders about the funds the CCI Golf Classic has raised in its 25 years. We also got a rundown of some of the key research and equipment, treatments and programs this money has funded. We got to see first-hand the impact that these dollars have made when the CCI team showed us its new PET CT Scanner. This massive piece of equipment gives doctors more precise information about the location and type of cancer a patient may have. This allows them to customize treatments and help ensure that surrounding tissues aren’t damaged.
