North Star Pallets Promotional Video

Recently, the team at North Star Pallets brought Lindisfarne in to help create a promotional video for their family-owned business. Our team loves having the opportunity to highlight local ventures and gain insight into new industries.

To start, we spoke with North Star founder David Luscombe. David told us about the early days of the business starting in 1987. Since its early years, North Star Pallets has grown from 2 employees to 32. Over the years, North Star has become Alberta’s leading pallet manufacturer. Starting with just a saw, hammer, and some nails, North Star Pallets evolved to operate with some of the most advanced technology available. With 3500 square feet of warehouse and 7 acres of yard space, North Star Pallets now has the capacity to repair up to 500 pallets per day, and custom-manufacture up to 5000 pallets per day.

Our team spoke with customers and staff to learn about the company’s environment and reputation. Gaining first-hand testimony helps engage the audience and add authenticity to the video. From these interviews, it was apparent that North Star Pallets is something special.

Our team used a multi-camera technique to capture interviews and hand-held techniques to capture the action of the busy warehouse. Some of the challenges of filming in a working shop include loud noise and ensuring the client team is able to work unhindered. When working in industrial settings, our production team is always aware of our surroundings, following all safety protocol, and being flexible to the needs of the client.

Drone footage was used to help create a more cinematic feel to this promotional video. Being able to capture a unique view of the pallet yard also helps highlight the scope of North Star’s production ability.
