Lindisfarne Productions was excited to partner up with Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan – Formerly known as Western Economic Diversification) to produce 5 short videos for their Alberta Video Impact series. The goal of the video impact series is to highlight the unique success stories of the recipients of their Business Scale-up and Productivity program.
PrairiesCan is the government department that works to diversify the economy across the Canadian Prairies. The Business Scale-up and Productivity (BSP) program offers interest-free, repayable funding to incorporated businesses looking to improve productivity, scale-up, and commercialize technology.
The Lindisfarne crew had the chance to visit 5 innovative companies in Edmonton, Foremost, and Calgary to learn how the BSP funding has helped them to grow. It was inspiring to hear how these companies are making an impact in Western Canada.

EcLabs by Everline Charles
EcLabs is one of the first cosmetic labs in Western Canada, making products such as patented hemp peptide which is then sold on as an ingredient.
AltaML in Edmonton
AltaML is a fast-growing AI company that focuses on applied Machine Learning and provides technical and strategic expertise to organizations.
Foremost UAS Test Range
Based in Foremost. Alberta, the test range is a class F restricted airspace for Drone testing and research. It is one of only two places approved by Transport Canada to conduct beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) testing.
Circle Cardiovascular Imaging – Calgary
Circle Cardiovascular Imaging is a company which creates cardiovascular imaging solutions to detect implications with the heart. Their software is able to collect quantitative data which gets faster and more accurate results.
Nanalysis – Calgary
Nanalysis Calgary is a global manufacturer of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectrometers (NMR). Their NMRs have been miniaturized and can be found in laboratories across the globe. Pharmaceutical companies like Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson are using it. Government, security and defense and forensic labs are using it. And so are leading academic and research institutions.
