Did you know that today marks World Agriculture Day? Lindisfarne Productions was honoured to help celebrate agriculture by creating the donor appreciation video for the University of Alberta’s Faculty of Agriculture, Life and Environmental Sciences ALES Awards.
The Lindisfarne crew had the opportunity to speak to current U of A Faculty of ALES students and ALES alumni about the impact scholarships and awards have (or have had) on their education at the U of A.
Cy McAndrews (Faculty of Agriculture Grad ’50 Alumnus) told us about the rich history of the faculty and why he thinks it is important to donate to his alma mater. Cy and his wife Joan have committed to providing the Cy McAndrews Bar None Leadership Award, which is given to the students in Crop Sciences or Animal Sciences programs who show and maintain excellent grades.

We heard how scholarships like the Cy McAndrew Bar None Leadership award allows ALES students to continue their studies, and look to creating new innovations in their industries.
It was great to hear from past and present students and witness the amazing and innovative research occurring at the Faculty of ALES!
